Universal Suffrage

UNIVERSAL SUFFRAGE

I love universal suffrage. It means that everyone has the right to vote and together, we decide who decides what we do. Then, the other day I realized something: I actually can't vote!!!

In an egalitarian society, one would think that there would be no arbitrary categories which prevent people from voting, but there are. I know because I am in one. I am a MINOR.

I don't have the right to choose the leaders, but I have the responsibility to follow them.

UNIVERSAL suffrage means to everyone, and people died to obtain that right, and yet we still don't have it. Because I fall into the government-made category of "minor", I can't make any change in government.

People should never discriminate, whether based on Gender, Race, Nationality, Sexuality, or Age and, together we should all decide who leads us.

Imagine a Better World

IMAGINE A BETTER WORLD
Recently, there has been something bothering me. It is on the topic of goals. I do this, to do that... but where does it all go. One of the common ends is: To make the economy work. This leads to the question: Why do we need money?
In fact, why do we need possession, or nations? Rules are necessary for order, but while possession and nations can help keep order, they also lead to disorder.
"Imagine no possession, I wonder if you can."
Lennon, J. "Imagine."
The song Imagine by John Lennon serves as a big inspiration for me. It is one of the most philosophical songs ever.
Communism is not the answer. Communism is when there is money, and everyone makes the same amount.
I came to dislike our society. I came to dislike all the things of our society. I want to drop out of high school because I don't want to be shaped for 8 years to be a cog in a machine I dislike.
"Imagine there's no countries, it isn't hard to do."
Lennon, J. "Imagine."
A system of possession does make things easier to organize, but it is imperfect. Why settle for second best without even trying first, just because second seems easier?
Maybe some of you disagree. Most of you probably disagree.
This is my proposition:
Utopianism: Does not rely on other nations. Entirely self-sustainable. No possession. No money. Food is shared, and sharing is organized on a "government" level, meaning by the leadership. Machines and tools are given as needed.
If there are any of you who agree with me I would love to hear it. I hope that I am not alone.
"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."
Lennon, J. "Imagine."
Please comment on my idea of a society without possession.
I made this post to provoke thought, to share ideas, and to inspire change. I dedicate this post to dreamers, imaginers, and to John Lennon. I hope that no dreams ever go forgotten.
